Rovaniemi<\/strong>, the Official Hometown of Santa Claus, is preparing for an unforgettable Countdown to Christmas<\/strong> celebration. Visit Rovaniemi<\/a><\/strong> will organise the Countdown to Christmas event at the Arctic Circle, Santa Claus Village, <\/strong>on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus<\/strong> \u2013 together with his cheerful elves \u2013 will once again take the stage to welcome the whole world to experience the magic of Christmas. This beloved event celebrates the ever-present Christmas spirit of Rovaniemi and kicks off the festive season, bringing together both locals and international visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the event will reach a whole new level as the evening will culminate in a performance by internationally renowned Finnish DJ and producer Darude<\/a><\/strong>. Known worldwide for his global hit Sandstorm<\/em> and his high-energy performances, Darude will bring an unforgettable pulse, light, and world-class festive atmosphere to the Arctic night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countdown to Christmas is a free<\/strong> public event open to everyone, filled with music, lights, and the magic of Christmas. Free round-trip bus transportation will be provided from Rovaniemi city center. We recommend using public transport, as parking in Santa Claus Village is limited. Please arrive in good time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
